Sunday update

I have been a wee MIA for the last few weeks. For one thing, university has really been kicking my ass and I've also become recently employed! Eeeee! Exciting!  I thought I would sit down and tell you a little bit about what I've been up to. I simply haven't had anything blog worthy to publish lately. I've been neck deep in literature reviews and journal articles from various medical and psych publications. I've been dreaming about statistics in my sleep and have woken up the day after one of my assignments to think that I had missed a giant question in my assignment...turns out I invented this entire calculation question in my sleep and it was in fact complete rubbish (Phew!). I don't know about you, but I have a love-hate relationship with autumn. It's beautiful but the temperatures and weather are so unpredictable and its always a busy time of year at uni.

As I have already mentioned I have recently become employed at a beauty and bath products store. I am having SO much fun and it's just been the most wonderful experience making friends and feeling like I have a purpose again. I can't describe how lucky I feel right now. Sewing and crafts has been on the back burner, although I have LOTS of things I want to do. Hopefully I will have a huge craft day soon and I will have some wonderful things to show you. As for sewing I have a few UFOs I am slowly hacking away at. I feel like when it comes to sewing I am far more of a tortoise than a hare, I sew slowly and in small bits, unless I am constrained by time or extremely determined.....which is rare. I don't see anything wrong with that anyway. My UFO and to be mended pile is simply overflowing and no matter how I seem to pick away at it I will always find things to add to it. I went to a vintage fair recently and got some majorly amazing vintage items. Although, many of them require major fixing......I guess thats why I got them so cheap! No complaining there.

Thanks for sticking by me even when I'm not posting a lot. I really appreciate it. Hopefully when I feel more a bit organised with my life I will post more.

  2. Yay, congrats on your gainful employment! I always found that this time of year was super busy at uni, and then again in October which always made me miss out on Halloween crafting. Good luck with your WIPs nonetheless and remember: slow and steady wins the race ~___^
